What stays on your device

If you allow optional storage, this browser remembers your favorites and “ready” marks and your current photo set, and may save gallery images and journal illustrations for offline viewing. These selections are not sent to our server and are not linked to your email address. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to see them.

We also remember your storage choice and cache the basic application files, photo-page text and journal articles needed to open the site offline. You can change your choice through Cookie settings. The storage notice explains what is stored and how to remove it.

Sets you choose to share

A shared set contains photo IDs in the fragment of its URL (after #). Anyone with that link can open the selection; it is not password-protected. The fragment is not sent in HTTP requests to our server, though opening the set requests its individual public images. The link may be saved in browser history, copied or retained by a messaging service you choose. No personal photos are uploaded: sets refer only to existing public catalog images.

Ready marks and favorites are not included in a shared link, and there is no completion notification or synchronization between partners. Sets are excluded from search indexing, but this is not access control. You can remove items from your local selection; an already shared link cannot be revoked. Images may become unavailable if the catalog changes.

If you join the waitlist

We collect the email address you submit, the signup time in UTC, and a record of the consent wording and its version. We use these details to maintain the waitlist and contact you about the video collection launch and the $20 early-access offer. The basis for this use is your consent.

Joining is voluntary and is not a purchase. We do not collect payment details. The current signup service stores your registration; it does not automatically send an email.

We keep your registration until we have sent the launch notification, you withdraw, or the planned collection is cancelled, whichever comes first. Contact the operator above to leave the waitlist or request deletion. You do not have to wait for a launch email. Any future launch email will also explain how to unsubscribe. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place with your consent.

Technical information

When your browser requests a page, image or API response, the server receives technical information such as your IP address, request time, requested address, browser information and response status. Server logs may retain this information to diagnose faults, prevent abuse and keep the service secure. These purposes are our legitimate interests in operating a reliable website.

Technical logs are retained only for the period needed for troubleshooting, security investigation and the server’s log-rotation cycle. The waitlist API does not put submitted email addresses or request bodies into its application logs. It also uses temporary request counts to limit automated submissions.

Who can access information

Waitlist records are held on the site’s server, outside its public files. Access is limited to the operator and infrastructure providers where necessary to host, secure or maintain the service. Information may also be disclosed when legally required. We do not sell your information or share it with advertising networks.

We do not use analytics trackers, advertising pixels, third-party font services, or automated profiling to make decisions about you. For details about the hosting provider or where information is processed, contact the operator above.

Your choices and requests

Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your personal information. You may withdraw consent and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Send requests to the operator above; we may need to confirm that the email address belongs to you.

Browser-only favorites, marks and downloaded images can be removed through Cookie settings or your browser’s site-data controls. We cannot retrieve or restore these local selections for you. You may also raise a concern with the data protection authority where you live or work, where applicable.

Adults and future changes

4him is intended for adults aged 18 or over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly seek registrations from children. If a child has submitted an email address, contact the operator to request removal.

We will update this notice when the service or its data use changes. New purposes for waitlist emails will require a separate choice where appropriate.
